Granting the Wish to Walk…At home
Do you have end-stage knee or hip arthritis, think you may need a total knee or hip replacement surgery, and are struggling financially?
Operation Walk Pittsburgh, in conjunction with our clinical partners, is proud to share a unique opportunity for financially needy community members who suffer from end-stage knee or hip arthritis and require total knee or hip replacement surgery.
If qualified, Medical Recipients may receive up to $25,000 in direct costs, defined as equipment and services, associated with total knee or hip replacement surgery. To be eligible, Medical Recipients must meet all criteria as defined below, including demonstrating medical and financial need.
Please note that grant monies shall be paid directly to the Western Pennsylvania Health Care Provider. No payments will be made directly to a Medical Recipient.
Applying for this financial assistance is a multi-step process. Steps will include pre-screening, medical evaluation, and financial screening. Applying for this assistance does not guarantee receipt of funds nor that your total joint replacement surgery will be scheduled. Joint replacement surgery will be scheduled and contingent upon meeting the criteria below and award of financial assistance. Please carefully review the criteria below.
The deadline to apply is march 1, 2021.
